Cockapoo
Breed History
Considered one of the original designer breeds of dogs, the Cockapoo, has won the hearts of many. Since the 1950s, this breed has been very successful as a companion and family dog. His roots stem from the United States. The Cockapoo is a fine cross between the Cocker Spaniel and a Poodle. Both parent dogs are known to be good family dogs and have been popular family pets for generations.
Personality and Temperament
The Cockapoo has a very loving, curious, and affectionate personality. They are also intelligent and train quickly. They have a warm and kind temperament, making them a great fit in families with pets and children.
Appearance and Grooming
Cockapoos have three different basic coat types that come in a variety of colors. Straight, wavy, and tightly curled in black, cream, apricot, red, and chocolate. Some Cockapoos also have solid colors and distinct abstract markings, like a white back and an apricot chest. This breed does benefit from routine brushing and monthly bathing to prevent their coats from forming knots and matting. For straight coat types, it is wise to brush your dog's coat at least four times per week. For those who have wavy coat types, at least five brushings per week are suggested. For Cockapoos with tightly curled coats, you should consider brushing daily to keep tangles from forming.
Care and Feeding
The Cockapoo does best having a daily feeding schedule consisting of two feedings per day, every twelve hours. This will allow for proper nutrition intake as well as prevent over-feeding, which could result in weight issues. Being sure to use quality dog food is also a great way to keep your dog healthy and feeling his best. Don't forget to brush his teeth at least three times a week and to keep his nails clipped. These small but essential items are important for his overall health.

Karina RTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My dad got my Malti-poo from this store 6yrs ago when I was a teen. We bought him at 3mo old! He was a happy puppy. My family requested to play with him in the little cubicles and we were delighted. He was a little pricey, but he had his papers, proper shots/vaccines, and had an underbite that made him adorable. He’s doing well even today! Never gotten injured or sick. He’s expected to live the normal expectancy of a malti-poo. I don’t remember much about the store or any changes since then, but I remember that the lady helping us was nice! Here is Marshmallow! Charles BTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Lots of dogs for adoption, well taken care of. Also have some birds, rabbits and a few sleepy ferrits. I stopped in for some feeder fish. Very nice staff. Joshua BTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Loved the exotic birds Melinda RTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This was my 2nd time back. My daughter has been wanting another set of guinea pigs. I saw the most beautiful lionhead rabbit 🐇 about 7 weeks. LORENZO educated me on their demeanor, foods etc... I was there a good while, he showed no signs of rushing me, or pushing a sale. Answered all my questions and even educated me on ferrets as i asked lol he loves his job & wish all associates were like this everywhere! I was very pleased 😀 didn't grab the rabbit as my daughter took forever to answer me, but we're leaving for vacation and would not be cool to leave him alone . We will be back! And I will only ask for him! Thank you for the great customer service!
